How to uninstall Lark on Mac
Lark keeps your chats and documents in the cloud, so removing the Mac app does not delete them. Lark's help center says chat records and online documents are stored in the cloud, and clearing the local cache only removes locally cached images, videos and similar content. Save attachments you downloaded to a folder of your own before you start. These steps cover Lark, the international app from larksuite.com, and the Homebrew cask lark; the recorded test used the Homebrew cask. Feishu, the mainland China app, is a different product that shares some folder names with Lark, which matters below.
Quit Lark and remove the app
Quit Lark from its menu; closing the window leaves it running. Then move Lark from Applications to the Trash. The file may be named LarkSuite.app, which is how the Homebrew cask installs it.
Where Lark keeps its local data
The recorded October 3 check found this Lark edition's own data in ~/Library/Application Support/LarkInternational and cache in ~/Library/Caches/LarkInternational. Save downloaded attachments elsewhere, quit Lark, then review those two folders. Keep ~/Library/Application Support/LarkShell, which belonged to Feishu in that check, even if Feishu has already been removed.
Lark's help page describes an older layout with a folder starting with LarkInternational inside ~/Library/Application Support/LarkShell. If your installation uses that layout, inspect only that named child after saving wanted files; do not discard the entire LarkShell parent. Lark help: reset local data

Check the result
Run these read-only commands in Terminal after the app is in the Trash:
pgrep -ilf "LarkSuite.app"
ls -d "$HOME/Library/Application Support/LarkInternational" "$HOME/Library/Caches/LarkInternational"
brew list --cask 2>/dev/null | grep -ix lark
- No output from
pgrepmeans no command line matchedLarkSuite.app; it does not rule out differently named helpers. Quit any listed Lark process first. lsprinting a path means that exact folder remains, as expected if you kept its data. "No such file or directory" means that folder is absent; a permission error leaves its state unknown.- Output from the last command means Homebrew still records a Lark install; no output means it does not, or Homebrew is not installed.
If you installed it with Homebrew
The lark cask's zap list names only four paths: ~/Library/Caches/com.electron.lark, ~/Library/Caches/com.electron.lark.helper, ~/Library/Preferences/com.electron.lark.helper.plist and ~/Library/Saved Application State/com.electron.lark.savedState. com.electron.lark is Feishu's bundle ID, not Lark's, so these are paths Feishu uses too. If Feishu is on this Mac, brew uninstall --cask --zap lark can remove Feishu's caches, a helper preference and its window state. The zap list does not touch LarkShell. With Feishu installed, leave --zap out:
brew uninstall --cask lark
Mole checks the zap list first and leaves --zap out when a path in it belongs to another installed app, as these do when Feishu is present, or would reach a row you left unchecked. Homebrew Lark cask
Account
Uninstalling does not delete your Lark account. Deleting an account is a separate step described in Lark help: delete an account.
What Mole lists
When you remove it with Mole:
- Items Mole matches to Lark's bundle ID
com.larksuite.larkAppare selected by default. ~/Library/Application Support/LarkInternationalis a data row, initially unchecked with Remove data and settings with apps off. Enabling that option can preselect eligible app-owned data. The matching cache is selected by default;LarkShellbelongs to Feishu and is not claimed for Lark.

What this test covered
Lark was installed from the Homebrew cask lark next to Feishu and uninstalled with a development build of Mole on September 18, 2026. Six items, 1.58 GB in total with the app, were removed with no failures, including Lark's own helper caches and preferences. That older check did not list either named support folder. On October 3, the two products were checked together again: Feishu's removal kept Lark's LarkInternational data and running processes, then Lark's selected app and own data/cache rows were removed. This second check used apps from the official downloads, but did not verify signed-in content or the complete installer workflow. Homebrew's zap step cleared the earlier cask record.
